Example: Oregon’s Voting System

The state of Oregon has a “motor voter” law. Residents are automatically registered to vote once they receive their “original, renewal, or replacement license, permit, or ID card at the DMV” (Oregon Secretary of State). Oregon also has a vote-by-mail system. Residents receive their ballot in the mail, fill it out, then mail it back in a pre-paid envelope to vote. It’s that easy.
